Your Donations

If you would like to make a donation to Surviving Christmas you can do so via various methods as found on this page below.

Why not join the Rother Community Lottery and buy tickets on the Surviving Christmas Page – if we sell over 20 tickets each week on behalf of the charity, we will get a share of the funds every month AND YOU COULD WIN TOO! Please see below for more details –

As of now supporters can go to your page and purchase lottery tickets to support your cause. Your cause will also appear on the listing page of the Rother Community Lottery website in the browse and search features.

GOOD LUCK!

DONATIONS NEEDED – PLEASE SUPPORT IF YOU CAN

NEW WARM CLOTHES – HATS, GLOVES ETC

We will be running our hamper project and 2-day event this year. We work closely with other charities such as Warming up the Homeless so we try to complement each other with the support we offer to those most in need and vulnerable. Instead of having a second-hand clothing store over Christmas, we have decided to offer people hats and gloves etc plus new warm socks and suitable underwear for men and women. If you are able to donate any of these new items then please bring to the Salvation Army Hall, St Andrews Square, Hastings in mid-December – more details to follow.

NEW TOY APPEAL

We are also running our ‘new toy’ appeal to gather presents for local children who may not have much this Christmas. We distribute these with our food hampers (nominations from agencies to reach the families most in need) and we also have a Santa’s Grotto Day for children to attend the Salvation Army Hall to meet Santa. This will be planned for a couple of days prior to Christmas – more details to follow.

If you are able to support in this way then please bring new toys to the Salvation Army Hall mid-December – more details to follow. We also hope to have a new toy donation bin available at the Bexhill Glynde Gap Tesco store.

NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS FOR HAMPERS

We are packing and distributing over 700 food hampers locally to the most in need this Christmas. If you are able to donate any non-perishable food items then please bring to the Salvation Army Hall in Hastings mid-December – more details to follow – the Hall is not always manned so please ring in advance. We accept any in date non-perishable food items including packets and tins and particularly like to receive luxury items such as biscuits, cakes, chocolates and sweets.

You can find a full list of suggested donations here.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SUPPORT AND DONATIONS OFFERED.

After the hugely successful Crowd Funding in 2020, we hope to run a similar campaign this November to fund our Hamper project. Details to follow nearer the time.

We also accept food donations and have donation bins located at Morrisons. You can find a full list of suggested donations here.
